Woods Walk

$150.00

This bowl is made of brown stoneware, hand-built and textured. I rolled pine cones over the clay to add texture, while using hickory husks as stamps. The leg design came from acorns, the roll of the rim is a likeness to sticks I found during a walk in the woods. The pot is high-fired with layered glazing.

16” long x 7” wide x 7’ high

While walking in the woods, I found an old rusted fender from a trailer and thought it would make a awesome mold for a pot. I also found some hickory nut shells, acorns, pine cones, and a couple of cool sticks. I love using found objects as stamps, molds and inspiration for my work. I really dig the way this turned out; it has an earthy feel of discovery with its texture and tones.

I make my pots to be different from each other. Each one has its own personality. I like similar repetition, but not crazy about duplicates. Hopefully, you will never find two of my pots that are the same.

A few pictures do not do a good job of helping you see a pot. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly for additional views. I will be happy to send you additional shots or short video to assist in your selection.
