I Am Elephant
This is a large hand-built crock with heavy elephant design relief. I used bare red stoneware design over light green glaze. I wanted the elephant to standout form the pot, so I laid the ears over the top of the rim.

I like using the slab pot as a canvas for additional ideas. Its not an original concept. Greeks, Romans, Egyptians all beat me to the trick. This series is my take on telling stories on pots with relief design.
