Funny Guys
These pots are hand-built stoneware. I usually have a concept in mind, but leave the actual details to be determined as I make the piece, rolling segments, cutting and adding shapes as I go. I like building the face one detail at a time, layering and fitting pieces to form eyes, mouth, hair.

Variations:
Charlie: I made this pot after Charlie, my 3 year old golden retriever. He has a very infectious smile! Charlie is always happy to see you. He loves to play games like steal the toilet paper roll, underwear, socks or remote control. He is very big on loudly shopping for the right item in order to prance into the room with it at the most inappropriate times. He is a very, funny guy! I usually have a concept in mind when I start a pot, in this case it was Charlie’s long nose and big smile.
Larry: This guy is my response to getting up after falling down. He is a salute to Three Stooges humor, wet dog kisses, little muddy feet, and making late night stress brownies. When it is all done, my blessings are greater than my anxieties. Hopefully, you can laugh a little, and remember to enjoy life and what you’re doing.
