Sea Basket
This is a hand-formed bowl inspired by the baskets we would take to the beach when I was a kid. Made using high-fired, red stoneware; a textured body under a heavy rope rim.

I rolled the clay body to create a basket texture and layered glazes to create the feel of depth and movement.
I left the inside of the bowl as bare clay with drainage holes. I like the heavy rim and bare bottom as it sets off the green body.
I make my pots to be different from each other. Each one has its own personality. I like similar repetition, but not crazy about duplicates. Hopefully, you will never find two of my pots that are the same.
With that said, a few pictures do not do a good job of helping you see the pots. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly for additional views. I will be happy to send you additional shots to assist in your selection. Let me know if there is a specific shade or design that catches your eye.
