Birds
This is a large, hand-built stoneware crock with relief bird design. I glazed the primary design using darker shades of bright colors, leaving a bare body. I left the inside bare and turned the pot into a planter by adding drainage holes.
8" dia x 7 1/2".

3 Little Birds
Early American Pottery has this great tradition of very simple, straight wall pots that include amazing designs of birds, flowers, fish, etc. This series is my take on revisiting the Early American Crock with relief design.
The birds are a standard Early American design theme.
A few pictures do not do a good job of helping you see a pot. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly for additional views. I will be happy to send you additional shots or short video to assist in your selection.
