This is a low hand-build shell bowl with an overlapping leaf rim and berry trim, over polished green variation glaze. I used a white high-fired, stoneware, layering the glazes to get the most out of the depth of color:
13” dia x 3 1/2” high

My dog and I were hiking in the woods up on the Blue Ridge, coming across bright yellow tulip tree leaves floating in a deep green pool. Moments like that stick in my mind and come to life when I’m making a new pot.
Typically, stoneware is food and oven safe, however, I don’t think I would put this piece in the oven, and would most likely wash it by hand.
I would be happy to provide additional pictures upon request.
